Customer Application Engineer Customer Application Engineer Back to list Apply Ingenierie 49352 United States, West Virginia, Ravenswood Remote Position:  Yes February 17th, 2026 Internship:  No Apprenticeship:  No Job Summary:     The Customer Application Engineer role is created to integrate R&D, production, and customer perspectives in the aluminum sector, addressing the disconnect between cutting-edge innovation and practical industry applications. Its primary aim: translate client requirements into actionable product developments. Ultimately, it'll fill that key gap-turning raw feedback into revenue while we push into fresh markets. Responsibilities: Engage with customers to understand their technical needs, provide adequate data, and offer tailored solutions to address their challenges. Collaborate with the R&D team to design, develop, and test new products ensuring alignment with industry standards and customer requirements. Act as the primary technical point of contact between customers and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment of expectations. Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our product portfolio, network with potential customers, and stay updated on market trends. Develop and deliver compelling presentations, technical documentation, and marketing materials to showcase our products’ capabilities. Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to ensure customer satisfaction and successful product implementation. Qualifications: Required Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree in a metals-related discipline preferred. Strongly preferred 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role, preferably in application engineering or product development within the metals industry. Required flexibility to travel to customers 50%+ of the time to maintain customer engagement and facilitate technical discussions Strongly preferred proven track record of working with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and sales. Experience in customer prospecting, market research, or business development within the materials sector is preferred. Due to the nature of client meetings and the need for prompt on-site presence, we strongly prefer candidates who are local to or willing to relocate to the central part of the U.S. near a major airport.
