About the Role
Blue Legal are partnered with a leading global law firm who are recruiting for a Business Development Manager, Corporate M&A, to join their London office on a 9 month fixed term contract. The role involves identifying opportunities using strong product insights and data-led intelligence, drive cross-selling, execute client-centric BD activities, strengthen client and internal stakeholder relationships, and inform the overall strategy to drive client relationship and profitable revenue growth.
The Responsibilities:
Drive M&A growth by developing and implementing BD and client targeting plans that align with global firm strategy.
Build strong connections across global BD, Client & Sector teams, ensuring M&A is integrated into wider firm priorities and cross-selling opportunities.
Create compelling go-to-market campaigns, foster sector-specific growth, and support client relationship development.
Contribute high-quality input into win strategies, pitches, and panel submissions to secure new opportunities.
Use data-led insights, horizon scanning, and client/market analysis to spot opportunities, inform BD strategies, and manage pipelines effectively.
Ensure alignment with global processes, maximise technology and shared resources, and leverage tools to deliver targeted, focused insights.
The Candidate:
Strong background in BD within legal services (ideally Corporate/M&A), with proven success in designing and implementing strategies, driving growth, and supporting pitches and panel submissions.
Skilled at working across international teams, building relationships with sector groups, and leveraging global resources to drive cross-selling and interconnectivity.
Experienced in using data, technology, and market intelligence to identify opportunities, track trends, and provide actionable insights for BD activities.
