About the Role
Our client is seeking a Financial Analyst II to provide comprehensive financial analysis, reporting, and decision support within a healthcare environment. This role supports ambulatory services and physician practices through financial modeling, KPI development, physician compensation analysis, and advanced data analytics.
This opportunity requires onsite presence in Burr Ridge, IL three days per week. Candidates may be based outside the greater Chicagoland area but must be able to meet onsite requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, identifying trends, budget-to-actual variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and operational decision-making
Support development and reporting of KPIs to measure financial and operational performance of ambulatory services
Conduct physician productivity and physician compensation analysis, including performance metrics and reimbursement modeling
Assist with the annual budgeting process, partnering with department leaders to establish realistic financial targets
Collaborate with operational leadership to evaluate patient volume, payer mix, revenue cycle performance, and service line profitability
Partner with senior management on strategic planning initiatives, including market analysis, business case development, and financial impact modeling
Lead special projects such as benchmarking studies, cost-benefit analysis, productivity assessments, and operational performance reviews
Provide data-driven insights using advanced data analytics techniques to optimize financial performance and resource utilization
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field
Experience in financial analysis within a healthcare or clinical environment
Demonstrated experience with physician compensation modeling and productivity analysis
Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Strong knowledge of healthcare finance, ambulatory operations, and reimbursement structures
Experience developing and tracking KPIs to support operational and financial performance
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and operational data
Collaborative mindset with strong stakeholder engagement and customer service orientation
Expert Excel skills required
