Yard Operative - Exeter <br>Full Time<br><strong>💷 £12.71 per hour</strong><br><strong>🕗 Monday - Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm | Friday: 8:00am - 3:30pm</strong><br><strong>📍 Exeter<br></strong><br>Looking for a hands-on role where no two days are the same?Pertemps are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing business in Exeter for a <strong>Yard Operative</strong> to join their busy depot team. If you enjoy working outdoors, like keeping active, and take pride in a job well done, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.<br>You'll play a key role in keeping the operation running smoothly, ensuring equipment is prepared, checked and ready to be delivered to customers across the region.<br><br>What you'll be doing<ul><li>Loading and unloading equipment safely and efficiently.</li><ul><li>Inspecting equipment to ensure it meets quality standards before dispatch and on return.</li><li>Checking delivery and collection paperwork is accurate and complete.</li><li>Maintaining a tidy, organised and safe yard at all times.</li><li>Working closely with the depot team to keep stock levels accurate.</li><li>Assisting with regular stock takes and reporting any discrepancies.</li><li>Delivering excellent customer service when dealing with drivers and visitors.</li><li>Following all Health & Safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.</li></ul></ul>What we're looking forWe're looking for someone who enjoys practical work and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves.<br>Ideally, you'll have:<br><ul><li>Experience in a yard, warehouse, production or industrial environment (preferred but not essential).</li><ul><li>A positive attitude and willingness to learn.</li><li>A strong awareness of health and safety.</li><li>Good attention to detail.</li><li>The ability to work well as part of a close-knit team.</li><li>A reliable and hardworking approach.</li></ul></ul>What's in it for you?<br>✅ Full-time, Monday to Friday hours<br>✅ Early finish every Friday<br>✅ Ongoing opportunity with a respected employer<br>✅ Supportive team environment<br>✅ Stable role with opportunities to develop your skills<br><br>If you're looking for a role where you can stay active, be part of a great team and build a long-term career, we'd love to hear from you.<br><br><strong>Apply today or contact Pertemps Exeter for more information.</strong>
