Sewing Machinist - Kettering AM2PM are recruiting for experienced Sewing Machinist roles for our client based in the Kettering area. Our client is a specialist in manufacturing high-quality leather interiors and trim for luxury automotive brands. Hours of Work & Pay of Sewing Machinist: Either 06:00-14:00 - Static shifts 07:00-15:00 - Static shifts £12.72-£14.62 experience dependent Overtime available Duties of a Sewing Machinist: Operating Machinery: Safely operating industrial sewing machines, cutting equipment, and related manufacturing tools. Assembly: Stitching, trimming, and assembling leather and interior automotive components to exact quality and design standards. Quality Control: Inspecting completed work for visual defects, ensuring straight seams, and properly aligning materials. Material handling: working with premium leathers, vinyls, and other trim materials while minimizing waste. Safety & Compliance: Adhering strictly to health and safety regulations, as well as automotive industry quality standards. Requirements of a Sewing Machinist: Proven experience in industrial sewing (flatbed/overlock) or automotive trim. Attention to detail: A very keen eye for aesthetics and precision, as luxury automotive interiors require flawless finishes. Efficiency: Ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment while hitting daily production targets. Team work: Strong communication skills to work closely with team leaders, quality controllers and engineers.
