Group Accounting Manager - VR/31995

TMM is delighted to be partnering with a leading Exploration & Production company who are seeking to appoint a Group Accounting Manager. The successful candidate will be a policy driven, self starter who will be responsible for designing and creating the accounting policies of the new organisation and as such, should have extensive experience of technical accounting (IFRS), audit and policy, and the ability to design and set controls suffice for audit purposes. It would be highly advantageous for the successful applicant to have working experience within an operator, ideally having had exposure to a Big 4 accountancy firm or private equity.

Skills, Experience & Attributes of Candidate

• Qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent).
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS and/or relevant local GAAP).
• Proven experience in Group reporting and statutory accounts preparation.
• Experience supporting external audits and working with auditors.
• Exposure to bank covenants, financing arrangements, or shareholder reporting.
• Experience drafting accounting policies and technical papers.
• Strong attention to detail with a high standard of accuracy.
• Clear and confident communicator, able to explain technical matters to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proactive and solutions-focused approach.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• High level of integrity and commitment to good governance.
