<p><strong>Role &#8211; Sales Manager </strong></p> <p><strong>Location &#8211; West Yorkshire, office based</strong></p> <p><strong>Salary &#8211; Up to 55k DEO</strong></p> </p> <p>This is a rare opportunity for an experienced freight professional who is ready to step into a <strong>senior leadership role with genuine progression</strong>. You&#8217;ll have hands-on involvement across <strong>road, sea, and air freight</strong>, combining leadership, sales, and operational oversight.</p> <p>Key responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Overseeing day-to-day freight operations across all modes</li> <li>Supporting and guiding a small operations and sales team</li> <li>Identifying, winning, and developing new commercial opportunities</li> <li>Improving margins through effective pricing and supplier negotiation</li> </ul> <p><strong>About you</strong></p> <p>You&#8217;ll be a commercially minded freight forwarding professional with the confidence and capability to lead from the front.</p> <p>You will bring:</p> <ul> <li>Strong experience in UK road, European trailer, and international freight forwarding</li> <li>Background with a UK based freight forwarder &#8211; essential </li> <li>A solid understanding of freight suppliers and carrier networks</li> <li>Proven ability to negotiate with customers and suppliers to maximise profit</li> </ul> <p> If you&#8217;re looking for a role where you can genuinely influence growth, performance, and long-term direction &#8211; rather than just manage day-to-day operations &#8211; this opportunity offers exactly that.</p> <p>WR Logistics are the #1 recruitment partner for all vacancies in the logistics industry.
