KS3 SEN Teaching Assistant Stratford upon Avon September 2026

About the role:

justteachers are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Stratford-upon-Avon from September 2026. This full-time role involves supporting students in KS3 classes with a range of special educational needs, helping them to access learning and achieve their individual goals within a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to KS3 students with additional learning needs.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
• Support students with communication, social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
• Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
• Promote student independence, confidence, and participation in classroom activities.
• Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.

Pre-requisites:

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN.
• Understanding of a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and SEMH.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to supporting learning.
• Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are desirable but not essential.
