Teaching Assistant Lincoln

About the role:

Justteachers recruitment agency are currently looking to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work within one of our partner primary schools in Lincoln. This caring and inclusive school is committed to supporting all pupils and creating a positive learning environment where children can thrive.

The school is looking to shortlist candidates immediately for a September 2026 start. The role will initially be on a long-term supply basis with the potential to become permanent.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting learning throughout the classroom and helping pupils to build confidence, independence and enjoyment in their education.

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Support the class teacher with daily learning activities
• Work with small groups to reinforce learning objectives
• Provide individual support where needed
• Support pupils with academic and pastoral development
• Assist with classroom management and preparation
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement
• Help create an inclusive learning environment
• Contribute to pupil progress and achievement

 

 

 

 

 

Pre-requisites:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching & Learning qualification (or equivalent)
• Experience working within a primary school setting
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Patient and supportive approach to working with children
• Good organisational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff
• Flexible and positive attitude
• Genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
