About the Role

Job Summary:  Demonstrates through behavior Decatur Morgan Hospital’s mission, vision and values. Under the direction of the Radiology Director, and Radiologist.  Performs imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.  Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis.  Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.  Operates CT / X-Ray Equipment to make quality Images / radiographs of designated body parts, utilizing the lowest possible radiation dose.  Responsibilities include knowledge of all CT/Radiology procedures, proper patient positioning, exposures, Utilization of PACS, implementation of patient charges, and assists physicians as required. Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required: Education:  High school diploma or equivalent, Graduate of an Accredited Diagnostic Imaging Program, ARRT in Radiology (CT preferred) License, Certification and/or Registration: ARRT(R) Required, ARRT(CT) preferred BLS must be obtained during orientation period Experience: Minimum of one-year clinical experience in direct patient care setting preferred. Requires proficiency at a technical level not requiring constant direct supervision in CT Additional Skills/Abilities: Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing task frequently and quickly. Must be able to work in a team environment. Must be able to use a computer terminal, fax machine, and copy machine.
