About the Role
AJ Chambers are currently hiring a Contentious Construction Senior Associate for our client, an international high-growth, high-performance law firm.
This is a fantastic opportunity that can offer full flexibility, offering a working pattern open to the right candidate – whether that is entirely remote from the comfort of your own home, hybrid, working from either the City office as you like or a serviced office in Essex, or even part-time!
You’ll be analytical, focused, conscientious and great at construction law. In return you will have the opportunity to earn over £100,000 p.a. or more for 40 hours per week all from the comfort of your own home. We are open to speaking with candidates from a minimum of 6 years PQE upwards to more senior, experienced candidates.
Your role will be working as a contentious construction senior associate, for a rapidly growing construction practice based in London but serving all of England and Wales.

The Role:
You will support two of the contentious construction partners in advising on, and running all forms of dispute resolution – adjudication, litigation, mediation and other expert determination. You will give strategic advice to clients to ensure the best possible outcome.
Key Responsibilities include:
Being lead adviser to 10+ clients.
Profile of person:
Exceptional legal technical skills and at least 5 years’ experience in contentious construction
Be an England & Wales qualified solicitor
Ability to run adjudications and court proceedings with supervision from partners
Extensive experience and exceptional performance in contentious construction
A ‘can do’ attitude, hungry to learn new skills and develop, naturally show initiative & resourcefulness is vital
Excellent time management skills and client relationship management
Desire to build a personal network and develop client relationships
Able to work in a team and help junior colleagues
Systematic, precise, with high standards
Salary:
£Open depending on PQE & candidate experience up to £100k+
