About the role:
Justteachers are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in St Ives that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 4 Teacher to join their team on a full-time, fixed-term basis from September until December. The contract has the potential to extend to Easter 2027.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced or early career teacher who is passionate about delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that support pupils to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Year 4 class, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where children are encouraged to develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where all pupils can thrive.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, ensuring appropriate challenge and support.
- Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, using assessment to inform future planning.
- Foster positive behaviour through clear expectations, effective classroom management, and positive relationships.
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 4, is desirable.
- A strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum and assessment expectations.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive, flexible, and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a supportive school team.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Two recent education-based references.
