Acts as a daily resource for the technicians and provides guidance regarding technical and operational information. In addition, provides technical and clerical assistance to the pharmacist in the processing of medication orders and the monitoring of drug therapy. May procure, measure, compound, count, and deliver medications under the supervision of a pharmacist. Functions within the guidelines of the Wisconsin Statutes and Administrative Code - Pharmacy Examining Board - Pharmacy Practice Sections. Other duties as assigned.</font></font></p><p><font face="Times New Roman"><font face="Times New Roman"><b>EXPERIENCE</b> <b>DESCRIPTION</b>: </font></font></p><p></p><p><font face="Times New Roman"><font face="Times New Roman">A minimum of 3 year’s experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred.</font></font></p><font face="Times New Roman"><font face="Times New Roman"><b>EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: </b></font></font><p></p><p><font face="Times New Roman"><font face="Times New Roman">High School diploma or equivalent is required. Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician training program is preferred.</font></font></p><font face="Times New Roman"><font face="Times New Roman"><b>TRAINING DESCRIPTION: </b></font></font><p></p><p><font face="Times New Roman"><font face="Times New Roman">Leadership training is preferred.</font></font></p><font face="Times New Roman"><font face="Times New Roman"><b>SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:</b></font></font><p></p><p><font face="Times New Roman"><font face="Times New Roman">Exceptional customer service skills. Proven ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group. Proven attention to detail. Outstanding organizational and follow-up skills. Proven leadership skills. Experience with various computer systems and programs.</font></font></p><font face="Times New Roman"><font face="Times New Roman"><b>LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: </b></font></font><p></p><p><font face="Times New Roman"><font face="Times New Roman">Application for Wisconsin registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required by hire date and must be obtained within 12 months of hire. Staff hired into this role prior to 3/31/23 must have applied for Wisconsin registration by 3/31/23 and have until 3/31/24 to obtain registration.
