A supportive secondary school is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support students with additional needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about helping young people succeed.

• Hours: Full-time
• Role: Secondary SEND Teaching Assistant – Long-term Support

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with SEND on a 1:1 and small-group basis
• Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement
• Support social and emotional development
• Work closely with teachers and SENCOs
• Adapt resources to meet individual needs

Pre-requisites:

• Experience supporting SEND students, ideally in a secondary setting
• Understanding of additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, and SEMH
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Two education-based or professional references
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
