About the Role
Join our dedicated team in Devon as an Advanced Practitioner in Adult's Safeguarding, where you will play a crucial role in protecting vulnerable adults and promoting their wellbeing. In this position, you will lead safeguarding assessments, develop tailored care plans, and collaborate with multi-agency partners to ensure the highest standards of care and safety for adults at risk. Your expertise will guide our social work team in making informed decisions that positively impact the lives of those we serve.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of adults at risk, ensuring their needs and preferences are prioritized.
Leading and mentoring a team of social workers, providing supervision and support to enhance their professional development.
Collaborating with healthcare providers, law enforcement, and community organizations to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding.
Developing and implementing safeguarding policies and procedures that align with best practices and legal requirements.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and organizational standards.
The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
Current registration with Social Work England.
A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in adult safeguarding or a related field.
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and safeguarding frameworks.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
