Job Title: AI Product Manager

Location: SF Bay Area (Hybrid 2-3 days/week in office)

Salary: $190-210k base

Overview:

A growing financial technology organization is expanding its AI product team and seeking two AI Product Managers to lead business process transformation initiatives powered by AI.

This is not a role focused on AI experimentation or internal productivity tools. The organization already has production AI systems delivering measurable business impact and is now extending those capabilities across multiple business functions. You will own the full lifecycle of AI initiatives, from discovery and process redesign through implementation, quality control, and adoption.

This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on product manager who enjoys ambiguity, thrives in fast-moving environments, and wants to build deep expertise in AI product development while working closely with business leaders, data scientists, and engineering partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead discovery sessions with business stakeholders to understand current workflows, pain points, exceptions, and opportunities for transformation
  • Redesign business processes from a 0-to-1 perspective, leveraging AI to fundamentally improve outcomes rather than simply automate existing workflows
  • Create detailed product requirements, design briefs, process maps, and solution specifications
  • Partner with data science and engineering teams to define AI capabilities, evaluation criteria, and success metrics
  • Manage external engineering partners throughout the development lifecycle and ensure delivery aligns with product requirements
  • Design quality assurance and evaluation frameworks to assess AI outputs before deployment
  • Coordinate pilot programs, user testing, and adoption strategies
  • Measure business impact and continuously refine solutions post-launch
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and drive alignment across technical and non-technical teams

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Product Management, Product Strategy, Product Operations, or a related discipline
  • Direct experience working on AI-powered products or AI-driven business process transformation initiatives
  • Experience leading discovery efforts and gathering requirements from business stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Proven ability to create specifications, requirements documents, design briefs, or other product artifacts that have been used to build and launch solutions
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to structure ambiguous challenges independently
  • Experience balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience within fintech, lending, payments, insurtech, healthtech, or other regulated industries
  • Experience working with external vendors, consultants, or engineering partners
  • Familiarity with AI evaluation methodologies, testing frameworks, or model validation approaches
  • Exposure to LLM-enabled products, AI agents, or intelligent automation platforms

Benefits:

  • Additional performance-based cash compensation potential
  • Opportunity to join a company actively deploying AI at scale across multiple business functions
  • High degree of ownership and visibility within a rapidly growing AI product organization
