About the Role
My client is an established, well-regarded independent estate agency with multiple offices across the Greater Leeds area. During this exciting period of growth, they are continuing to expand their managed portfolio and, as such, are looking to grow their property management team with the addition of either a part-time (4 days per week) or full-time Property Manager.Based within the Property Management department at their Huddersfield branch, you will work as part of a wider team managing an extensive portfolio of properties. This role will focus specifically on maintenance and compliance, making it ideal for someone who enjoys the operational side of property management and thrives in a fast-paced environment.Benefits of the role:Basic salary up to £28,000 (pro rata if part time, 4 days per week)Holiday entitlement of 20 days plus bank holidays, increasing with length of serviceCompany workplace pension scheme with employer contributionOnly 1 in 4 Saturdays required, paid as overtime — plus bacon butties from the MD!Use of company pool car for all business needsParking on siteYour Key Responsibilities as a Property Manager:Work within the wider Property Management team to support the management of a large portfolioCoordinate and oversee all reactive maintenance across the portfolioManage maintenance jobs from start to finish, liaising with landlords, tenants and contractors throughoutCommunicate effectively across all channels with landlords, tenants, contractors and colleaguesCoordinate safety certifications and ensure full compliance across the portfolioMaintain accurate and up-to-date records within the property management systemEnsure clients receive legally accurate, practical and timely responses to enquiries and issuesWork collaboratively within the wider team to ensure the portfolio adheres to all legal and compliance obligations at all timesKeep up to date with changing lettings legislation and industry best practiceAssist with the wider management of the portfolio where required, including supporting the team during busy periods and holiday coverWhat We’re Looking For in a Property Manager:Previous Property Management experience is essentialARLA qualification (desirable but not essential)Exceptional organisational skills and strong attention to detailExcellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build lasting relationshipsA calm, solutions-focused approach when working under pressureConfidence using property management systems and handling administrative tasks efficientlyA proactive and team-oriented approach to workIf you’re ready to take the next step in your Property Management career with a respected and well-established independent brand, we’d love to hear from you.Contact UsMagnus James Property Recruitment is a specialist recruiter within the property industry and covers the following areas: New Homes, Residential Lettings, Estate Agency, Property Management and Block Management.
