About the Role

Engineering | Soil Mechanics, Foundation Design, Site Investigation

A geotechnical and environmental engineering firm providing subsurface investigation, foundation design, and geotechnical consulting services. The firm works on diverse projects including high-rise buildings, bridge foundations, landslide mitigation, and seismic retrofits in challenging Pacific Northwest soil and geologic conditions.

The Geotechnical Engineer will manage geotechnical investigations, analyze soil and rock properties, design foundations and earth retention systems, and prepare geotechnical reports. This role involves field work including drilling oversight, laboratory testing coordination, engineering analysis, and client communication throughout project development.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering PE license (Washington preferred) 5-8 years of geotechnical engineering experience Proficiency in PLAXIS, GeoStudio, or similar analysis software Strong understanding of soil mechanics and foundation design Experience with seismic design and liquefaction analysis Excellent technical writing and reporting skills
  • GE license or working toward it Experience with deep foundation design Knowledge of slope stability and landslide mitigation
