Day to Day Cover – Coventry

About the role:

Justteachers is working with a range of secondary schools across Coventry that require day-to-day cover staff to support with short-term absence and flexible cover needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for confident and adaptable education professionals who are looking for flexible work within welcoming school environments.

You’ll provide classroom cover across a variety of year groups and subject areas, ensuring lessons run smoothly and students remain engaged with the work set. This role is ideal for teachers, cover supervisors, or experienced classroom practitioners seeking regular or occasional work to suit their availability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day classroom cover across local schools in Coventry, following lesson plans and work set by the school.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and keeps students focused.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and respond to student needs in line with school policies.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff where required and ensure any completed work or concerns are passed on appropriately.
• Adapt quickly to different school settings, routines, and year groups while maintaining a professional approach.

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Previous experience working in a UK school or classroom setting.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• A flexible, reliable, and proactive approach to supporting pupils and school staff.
• Two relevant references, ideally from educational settings.
