The Company: Our client is a leading global manufacturer of specialist materials, which includes a wide range of Composite Materials, Electrical Insulations, Mica Products and a wide range of Textile Products. The Location: The role is based at our client's site near Preston. The Role: To lead and coordinate the research, development and technical services function across all site competence. Liaise with your team, Sales, Production Planning, Production Management, Quality / HSE, Maintenance and Purchasing by providing technical support for any new or ongoing development projects. Contribute as necessary to the design/formulation of new products. Identify new materials and technologies available in the market. Your Background: Masters degree or a PHD qualification in a science related subject, such as chemistry, applied chemistry or material science. Accomplished senior manager within a complex manufacturing environment, working within a technical or research and development function with responsibilities for tecnical support, new product or process development.
