Pharmacy Technician Compensation
The pay for this position is $24.45 per hour
Shift differentials available
Shift 2 Differential: $1.00
Shift 3 Differential: $2.50
Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
A 401(k) with company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Pharmacy Technician Highlights
This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
Onsite position in Warwick, RI
Schedule: Two weekday evening shifts, two weekday day shifts, and one weekend morning shift
Day Shift: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Evening Shift: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM
Candidates who prefer evening shifts only may also be considered
Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities
Work under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist
Fill prescriptions and assist with IV preparation
Enter prescription and billing information into the computer system for reimbursement processing
Assist with prepackaging medications according to pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements
Support pharmacists with the final checking process for filled prescriptions
Coordinate accurate and timely delivery of medications to customers
Maintain proper inventory practices, including receiving, rotating, and tracking medications and supplies
Record lot numbers and expiration dates and assist with physical inventory counts
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including equipment calibration and safety checks
Pharmacy Technician Requirements
Active Pharmacy Technician License in Rhode Island
Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred
Ability to work the required day, evening, and weekend schedule
Ability to work onsite in Warwick, RI
High School Diploma or GED
Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
Pharmacy Technician Preferred Qualifications
Experience filling prescriptions and preparing IV medications
Experience working under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist
