Come join our team today!</div><div> </div><div><strong>Position Overview:</strong></div><div>The primary focus of a CDL Bus Driver/Instructor Assistant STEAM Children's Enrichment will be to maintain the Discovery Center activities. CDL Bus Driver/Instructor Assistant STEAM Children's Enrichment are asked to promote creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills of students by supporting the Instructor in the classroom. Programs are conducted for children ages 2-14, although not all assistant instructors are required to work with all age groups. This role requires internal collaboration and communication with Snapology Instructors & leadership as well as representing the Snapology organization to parents & children with a high degree of professionalism. <strong>We are a mobile business that operates in schools, libraries, homes, etc. throughout Nassau County Long Island.</strong> </div><div> </div><div> <strong>Role & Responsibilities: <br></strong><br> </div><ul> <li>Greet parents and children</li> <li>Drive our Mobile STEAM Lab (2002 Bluebird 40') to locations all over Nassau County</li> <li>Clean Mobile STEAM Lab after Shifts</li> <li>Monitor children in the use of learning materials and equipment </li> <li>Aid in the Management of student behavior </li> <li>Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of Snapology</li> <li>Organize Snapology program materials</li> <li>Complete special assignments as indicated by Snapology leadership</li> <li>Handle inquiries from parents regarding Snapology programs</li> <li>Encourage students & parents to enroll students in future Snapology programs</li> <li>Participate in periodic Snapology training & staff meetings, as required </li> </ul><div><strong>Qualifications: </strong></div><ul> <li>Criminal and Child Clearances must be current </li> <li>Desire to work with children </li> <li>Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others </li> <li>Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing </li> <li>Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis</li> </ul><div><strong>Programs: </strong></div><ul> <li>Weekday after-school and/or evening classes</li> <li>Weekend workshops and/or birthday parties</li> <li>Summer camps</li> <li>Special events, holiday, and break workshops</li> </ul><div> </div><div><em>This position is part-time.
