About the Role
Murray McIntosh are currently seeking a Principal Firmware Engineer to work for a client of ours on a permanent basis as detailed below: Responsibilities: Realising product specification through embedded firmwareCreate firmware requirement specifications and design documentationContribute to the continued improvement of the embedded development processes to ensure continuous enhancement of the team and our processesContribute to definition of work, approach and architectural solutionsOwn quality of your out put ensuring appropriate levels of qualityMaintain and update existing firmware addressing defects and implementing enhancementsRun and participate in design reviews, creation of reports and associate documentationCollaborate with validation tea to increase understanding and reduce development iterationsEnsure product compliance to ISO9001. Skills & qualifications: Expert in the use of C & C++Experience of programming on real time operating systemsKnowledge of STM32 and FreeRTOSKeil IDE, MPLAB for STM32 (advantageous)Experience developing products in highly regulated industriesExperience of developing firmware for low power safety critical devicesKnowledge of TFT LCD display control drivers and GUI developmentFamiliarity with RF technologies such as BLE, LoRa, Zigbee etc would be advantageous
