Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and creative Food Product Developer to join our client’s team for a temporary role based in Boxtel. This role focuses on developing and innovating snacks, including options made from cheese, chicken, and plant-based ingredients, for well-known brands. The successful candidate will drive product development from concept to market launch, ensuring products meet all industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify international food trends, proposing new product ideas accordingly.
- Lead innovation projects independently, managing them from initial concept through to commercial launch.
- Present project proposals and progress updates effectively to internal teams and external partners.
- Collaborate with customers and suppliers by visiting them for joint innovation and product development purposes.
- Develop new recipes and improve existing formulations to meet quality, cost, and regulatory standards.
- Enhance production processes and methods for better efficiency and quality.
- Coordinate with departments such as production, sales, quality, and finance throughout the product development process.
- Test products in the factory, monitor results, and implement necessary adjustments.
- Document recipes thoroughly and ensure knowledge transfer to production teams to facilitate smooth implementation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology or a related field.
- Experience in food product development.
- Knowledge of food industry standards; experience with cheese and chicken products is advantageous.
- Innovative, proactive, and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Strong command of Dutch & English, both spoken and written.
- Ability to work effectively in an international, cross-functional environment.
