Missile Tracking Systems Engineer

Scottsdale, AZ

Pay Estimated: $64.60-$69.60/Hour

Responsibilities:

  • Development of digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms implemented in hardware and/or software for space-based systems
  • Application of advanced DSP techniques, including:
  • Detection & Estimation Theory
  • Random Processes Analysis
  • Communications & Information Theory
  • Statistical analysis of signal parameter measurements
  • Experience with radar signal processing and RF signal conditioning/mitigation
  • Familiarity with phased array systems and beamforming techniques
  • Use of MATLAB (DSP toolboxes) for modeling, simulation, and algorithm development
  • Experience with Monte Carlo analysis for system performance evaluation

 

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or STEM field OR Master’s degree plus 6 years of related experience
  • 5+ years of recent experience designing and developing complex algorithm-based systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Programming / Tools:
    • MLAB
    • Python
  • Space Systems Experience:
    • SmallSats / CubeSats
    • Space payload design, development, or integration & test (I&T)
  • Hardware & Integration:
    • Hardware prototyping (e.g., FlatSat environments)
    • Hardware integration and test (I&T)
    • Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) systems
  • Systems Engineering / Digital Engineering:
    • Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
    • SysML
    • MagicDraw / Cameo
    • Requirements management tools
  • Development Methodologies:
    • Agile development (hardware/software/firmware)
    • DevOps / CI/CD pipelines
