<p><strong>Cyclical Maintenance Manager needed in Huntingdon Paying £350 per day ref RQ1718855</strong></p>
<p><strong>Full time hours on a temporary basis</strong></p>

</p>
<p><em>Key Responsibilities</em></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead and manage a team responsible for all routine and cyclical highway maintenance activities, ensuring programmes are effectively planned, delivered and monitored.</li>
<li>Plan, manage and implement cyclical maintenance programmes including:
<ul>
<li>Carriageway and footway surface dressing</li>
<li>White lining renewals</li>
<li>Verge, tree and vegetation maintenance</li>
<li>Gully cleansing and drainage jetting</li>
<li>Winter maintenance operations</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Ensure maintenance programmes are scheduled at appropriate frequencies, informed by site inspections, performance data, lessons learned and ongoing engagement with delivery partners.</li>
<li>Balance operational priorities, organisational objectives and policy requirements when developing and maintaining programmes of work.</li>
<li>Provide strategic leadership and direction to the cyclical maintenance function, ensuring effective ways of working and alignment with organisational values.</li>
<li>Monitor team and programme performance against defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring targets are met and continuous improvement is embedded.</li>
<li>Take responsibility for team development, ensuring staff receive appropriate training, guidance and support to fulfil their roles effectively.</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with other managers across the highway maintenance service to ensure a consistent, coordinated and efficient approach to network maintenance.</li>
<li>Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders and partners, ensuring timely communication and effective coordination of works.</li>
<li>Maintain a strong customer‑focused approach when engaging with local partners, community representatives and the public.</li>
<li>Manage and control a substantial revenue and capital maintenance budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources, mitigation of financial risk and delivery in line with organisational priorities.</li>
