About the Role
<p><b>CNC Miller Programmer / Setter / Operator</b></p>
<p><b>Overview of Daily Duties</b></p>
<p>This role involves loading / unloading, checking dimensions in line with our client’s inspection processes and general maintenance of multiple machines. Liaising with the nightshift on the morning changeover and ensuring stock of consumables are adequate.</p>
<p><b>Responsibilities:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>To program, set up and operate CNC and manual machines.</li>
<li>Three and four axis machine programming, setup, and operation.</li>
<li>Programming using Mazatrol and Fanuc controls.</li>
<li>Ensure right first time for first off inspection working to fine tolerances.</li>
<li>Maintaining components being produced to the highest standards as per specifications and drawings.</li>
<li>Inspect components during production to ensure drawing / spec requirements are maintained.</li>
<li>Be able to interpret operations sheets, drawings, sketches to program and set up parts.</li>
<li>To clean and undertake preventative maintenance of machines.</li>
<li>Participate in Continuous Improvement / Lean manufacturing activities where required.</li>
<li>Consistent documentation of measurement results and manufacturing times.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Skills / Experience:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience with programming, setting and operating Fanuc, Mazatrol and manual machines.</li>
<li>Competent reading and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.</li>
<li>Be able to use a wide range of different measuring devices and inspection techniques.</li>
<li>Familiar with Aerospace AS9100D requirements in relation to CNC Miller’s role.</li>
<li>Able to work as part of a team and assist others where required.</li>
