We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and resilient
KS3 SEMH Teacher to join a specialist SEMH setting on a full-time, long-term basis starting in September. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated lessons across Key Stage 3, building strong relationships with students, and creating a structured, nurturing learning environment that promotes both academic achievement and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of KS3 pupils with SEMH needs.
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes emotional wellbeing and engagement in learning.
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies and restorative approaches to support positive outcomes.
- Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching methods and interventions where required.
- Work collaboratively with support staff, parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs, behavioural challenges, or additional learning needs.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to build positive, professional relationships with students and inspire a love of learning.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
