Star Teaching School Hub Network
At Star, we want to play our part in developing the next generation of teachers, managers and leaders in our own schools and throughout the school system.
Star Teaching School Hub Network is a group of school-led centres of excellence for teacher and leadership training and development. It is committed to the professional and personal development of the school workforce and to making a significant contribution to a self-improving school system.
Star Teaching School Hub Network provides support to over 1,000 schools in four areas across the north west and midlands:
Star Teaching School Hub Birmingham South (led by Eden Boys’ School, Birmingham)
Star Teaching School Hub Bolton, Bury and Rochdale (led by Eden Boys’ School, Bolton)
Star Teaching School Hub North West Lancashire (led by Tauheedul Islam Boys’ High School)
Star Teaching School Hub Pennine Lancashire (led by Tauheedul Islam Girls’ High School and Sixth Form College)
Star Teaching School Hub Network has a national focus, working in partnership to offer programmes nationally while leading the four Star Teaching School Hubs.
Through the Network, we strive to raise educational standards and enhance outcomes for pupils by offering professional development opportunities, sharing expertise, and promoting collaboration among schools.
Teaching School Hubs play a pivotal role in delivering and promoting the ‘Golden Thread’ – set out in the Department for Education’s Teacher Recruitment and Retention Strategy – by transforming the training and support teachers and school leaders receive at every stage of their career.
Star Teaching School Hub Network also plays an active role in leading and co-ordinating school-to-school support and promoting partnership working.
Star Teaching School Hub Network is led by experienced school leaders who have exemplary records in driving successful school improvement and improving outcomes for their students. Our highly practical training and support programmes are available to all schools and academies, to other multi-academy trusts and to local authorities.
