About the Role
TekCom Resources is seeking a Coax Splicer in the Janesville, Wisconsin area for a direct hire role with a fast-growing fiber construction firm! In this role, you will be splicing coaxial cables in the air, underground and indoors on occasion. This is a full time opportunity working at sites in and around Janeville;sites can be up to two hours outside of town, though overnight travel will be very infrequent and only when night work is being performed. Job Responsibilities: Install and place coaxial cable. Install vaults, pedestals, active or passive devices like CATV equipment, and coax splice cases. Troubleshoot and "rough balance" coaxial cable plant. Read designs and design maps for CATV equipment and other installations. Sometimes might require performance of civil construction work like pulling rope/cables and using tools/digging. Fill out documentation for completed projects, expenses, etc. Responsibly use and care for assigned equipment, materials and company vehicle.
