About the Role
Job Order # 57403 TMD Staffing is looking to hire Plasma Machine Operator in the South Area 77047 WORK ENVIRONMENT In-person Key Responsibilities · Operate CNC plasma cutting machines safely and efficiently. · Interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and cutting schedules. · Load steel plates using overhead cranes or forklifts (where licensed). · Set machine parameters including cutting speed, amperage, gas selection, and material thickness. · Import or create CNC cutting programs from CAD/CAM software when required. · Monitor cutting operations to ensure dimensional accuracy and cut quality. · Inspect finished components using measuring equipment and quality control procedures. Qualifications: Previous experience operating CNC plasma cutting machinery. · Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. · Experience measuring components using tape measures, calipers, and other inspection equipment. · Good understanding of steel fabrication and manufacturing processes. · Basic computer skills for machine operation and production reporting.
