About the Role
I’m recruiting for a Service Design & Transition Manager supporting a major digital transformation programme in the water & waste sector. If you have strong experience in service design, service transition, and ITIL, this could be a great fit.
Role Overview:
Lead service design for new/changed digital services, oversee end‑to‑end service transition, ensure operational readiness and SLAs/OLAs, act as the link between delivery and BAU support, and manage service acceptance, ELS, and post‑go‑live actions.
Key Responsibilities:
Service Design:
Define lifecycle roles, review requirements, assess feasibility, develop support models and TCO, agree monitoring and SLAs/OLAs, maintain the Service Design Package, and ensure alignment with architecture and operations.
Service Transition:
Deliver and govern transition activity, ensure smooth BAU handover, manage readiness‑related RAID items, coordinate Service Acceptance Boards, validate testing evidence, and support Early Life Support.
What They’re Looking For:
Strong ITIL knowledge, proven service design/transition experience, ability to create SLAs/OLAs and support models, excellent stakeholder management, familiarity with governance and RAID, and ITIL Foundation plus Design/Transition certifications.
