Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate the dispatch and scheduling of a fleet of long-haul trucks and drivers to ensure timely deliveries and optimal route planning.
• Monitor driver performance, adherence to schedules, and compliance with traffic laws and company policies via telematics and communication systems.
• Maintain constant communication with drivers on the road, providing support, addressing issues, and relaying important updates or changes.
• Manage electronic logging devices (ELDs) and ensure accurate record-keeping for hours of service, mileage, and other regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with dispatchers, customers, and other stakeholders to manage exceptions, resolve delivery problems, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Track shipments and provide real-time updates on delivery status to relevant parties.
• Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance safety protocols.
• Conduct remote driver check-ins and ensure all necessary documentation is completed and submitted accurately.
• Process delivery paperwork and fuel reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) driving license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a long-haul truck driver, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of road networks and transportation challenges.
• Excellent understanding of driver regulations, including Working Time Directive and hours of service rules.
• Strong proficiency in using GPS navigation systems, fleet management software, and communication devices.
• Demonstrated ability to manage logistics and coordinate schedules effectively.
• Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently in a remote work environment.
• Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and digital dispatch systems.
