About the Role
Responsible for accurately checking and counting all products for both inbound and outbound freight. Ensures all items are free of damage or infestation and that production code dates are properly recorded. Verifies that the quantity, quality, labeling, and addressing of orders meet customer specifications and requirements.
Skills and Experience
Count all inbound products prior to storage, compare them to the manifest, and inspect shipments for damage, infestation, and proper production code dates.
Report shortages, damages, and mis-shipments on the appropriate forms and forward them to the proper department.
Sign for inbound shipments or accept signatures for outbound merchandise when required.
Check outbound freight that has been filled and assembled by warehouse personnel.
Verify that the quantity, quality, labeling, and addresses match the customer’s order to ensure shipments are complete and accurate.
Safely and effectively operate a forklift or other material-handling equipment as needed, and assist with loading or unloading merchandise moving in or out of the warehouse.
Maintain a clean, neat, and organized work area.
Help maintain warehouse security and follow all safety procedures.
Participate in physical inventory counts.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
