SEND Support - Primary - Halifax

About the Role:

Justteachers is recruiting a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant for a long-term supply role in a primary school in Halifax, starting in September. The school is committed to providing an inclusive and nurturing environment where pupils with additional needs can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support pupils with SEND on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities.
• Encourage pupil engagement, confidence and independence.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Promote a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.

Pre-requisites:

• Previous experience supporting children with SEND in a primary setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach.
• Excellent safeguarding knowledge and practice.
• Ability to provide two education-based references.
