About the Role

c£120,000 basic + benefits, bonus We are currently working with a leading manufacturer of Industrial Hardware and DIY products undergoing a phase of restructure and positioning for further growth.  The company manufacture products that sell into a wide range of businesses including retail, construction and the wholesales markets. As part of this ongoing development, the company is now seeking an Export Sales Director who will be responsible for the overall sales and marketing of the product into Europe and the Middle East and also oversee the strategic direction of the sales activity and the management, motivation and development of the UK sales team. In addition to overseeing the Sales and Marketing function, the Export Sales Director will also be responsible for working closely with production and finance in relation to ongoing planning, market trends, new product development and pricing. To apply for this exciting new position, it is essential that you have previous experience in Export Sales Management, ideally gained in a manufacturing company, preferably inductrial hardware or DIY related industries.  You should possess strong relationship building skills and be able to build a strong, cohesive team whilst working in alignment with the goals and objectives of the business. You should be used to dealing and negotiating at senior level, have an in-depth understanding of the wider, macro-economic market place and have strong financial acumen.  A second European language and / or Arabic will be beneficial although is not essential. The role offers a competitive package including bonus incentive and the opportunity to progress within the company in the future.  The position reports to the Managing Director and will have close relationships with senior team members across the organisation. Overseas travel is normally a key part of the role although current restrictions will be strictly observed.  Future travel will be realigned to business needs and as the company is keen to promote a greener working environment, virtual meetings will be viewed as a continued alternative to in person overseas meetings where this is feasible.
