A brand-new distribution center has already been built in Nieuwegein for the Jumbo. This location is fully equipped with the latest systems on the market. Everything, absolutely everything, is automated with the use of robotic processes. With these processes, they manage to distribute around 20 million products per week!!

If those robots work automatically, what will you do?

This enormous distributioncentre is divided in multiple departements with their own tasks and responsibilities. As an operator you will gradually learn to operate all these departments and what makes them unique. This includes different types of troubleshooting, maintenance activities and how to maxime the processes together with your colleagues!

Who are we looking for?

• Preferably 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse environment;
• Basic technical skills;
• Ability to work in a 4 shiftcyclus.

Who will you be working for?

At the Jumbo Distribution Center, we make sure all Jumbo supermarkets receive the right products on time. From fresh food to everyday groceries, we collect and prepare store orders so customers can easily find everything on their shopping lists. We also process returned items such as beer crates, empty bottles, and packaging materials.

The distribution center includes a picking department and a returns center. Most employees start as order pickers, using a headset system to gather products, with opportunities to grow into roles such as outbound goods employee or reach truck driver. 

We work in an international team where safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork are key. New employees receive training and step-by-step guidance to get off to a strong start.
