Senior Software Engineer – .NET 8 | £550/day Inside IR35 | Manchester (Hybrid/Remote – 2x per week maximum onsite)

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Contract) to join a greenfield project focused on building scalable integrations and services within a modern .NET environment. The project involves working across multiple systems, helping to improve connectivity, data flow, and overall platform performance.

Location: Manchester/Leeds (Hybrid/Remote – 2x per week maximum onsite)
Type: Contract – Inside IR35
Day Rate: £550/day

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable microservices using .NET 8 and AWS

• Develop system integrations between internal and third-party platforms

• Contribute to the design and implementation of event-driven architectures

• Ensure code quality, performance, and maintainability through best practices (CI/CD, TDD, DevOps)

• Work collaboratively with engineering and product teams to deliver new features and technical improvements

Technical Stack:

• Backend: .NET 8, AWS Lambda, ECS, EKS

• Databases: SQL/NoSQL (DynamoDB, Aurora, DocumentDB – MongoDB experience a bonus)

• Event-Driven Systems: Kafka, AWS MSK, EventBridge, SNS/SQS

• DevOps & Infrastructure: Terraform, GitHub Actions, Docker

• Frontend: React

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong commercial experience with .NET (ideally .NET 8) and AWS

• Proven background in microservices and event-driven architectures

• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases

• Solid understanding of system integrations and scalable backend design

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
