Northampton - QSW - CP/Safeguarding Team (Northants)

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Child Protection and Safeguarding Team in Northampton. In this pivotal role, you will work collaboratively to ensure the safety and well-being of children and families in our community. Your expertise will contribute to assessments, interventions, and support plans aimed at protecting vulnerable children and promoting positive outcomes.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments and developing effective safeguarding plans.
• Working collaboratively with families, children, and external agencies to provide support and resources.
• Maintaining accurate case records and documentation in accordance with local policies and statutory requirements.
• Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to child protection conferences.
• Providing guidance and support to less experienced team members and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

• A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW).
• Current registration with Social Work England (SWE).
• Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload.
