SEMH Learning Support Mentor – Blackpool

About the role:

Justteachers is seeking an SEMH Learning Support Mentor to join a vibrant specialist school in the Blackpool area on a long‑term basis.
The full‑time post is due to start in September 2026, with shortlisting currently taking place.

The school offers a nurturing, structured and relationship‑focused environment, supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs to re‑engage with learning, develop emotional regulation and achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing 1:1 and small‑group mentoring support for pupils with SEMH needs
• Supporting emotional regulation, behaviour management and engagement in learning
• Working closely with teachers, pastoral staff and external professionals to deliver tailored support plans

Pre-requisites:

• Relevant qualifications or experience supporting pupils with SEMH or behavioural needs
• Proven experience working in an educational, pastoral or mentoring role
• Strong knowledge of SEMH strategies, trauma‑informed practice and positive behaviour approaches
• Two education or school‑based references
