<strong>Clearance:</strong> TS/SCI and Poly Required <br />
<strong>Compensation:</strong> $250,000–$260,000 base salary</p>
<h3>Overview</h3>
<p>We are seeking a <strong>Senior Software Engineer</strong> to design, build, and operate highly scalable cloud-native systems supporting mission-critical national security programs. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives in hands-on development, infrastructure automation, and modern AWS-based architectures.</p>
<p>You will work onsite in Chantilly, VA alongside a highly technical team delivering secure, resilient, and high-performance solutions in a classified environment.</p>

<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Design, develop, and maintain <strong>production-grade Python services</strong> supporting backend systems and APIs</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Architect and deploy <strong>AWS-based cloud solutions</strong>, leveraging serverless and managed services</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Build and maintain <strong>Infrastructure as Code (IaC)</strong> using <strong>Terraform</strong> across multiple environments</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Develop and integrate <strong>RESTful APIs</strong> and event-driven architectures</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Implement cloud-native patterns for scalability, availability, observability, and fault tolerance</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable solutions</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Support CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment workflows</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance system performance in Linux-based environments</p>
</li>
</ul>

<h3>Required Qualifications<br />
</h3>
<ul>
<li>
<p><strong>Bachelor’s degree</strong> in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field</p>
</li>
<li>
<p><strong>Expert-level Python experience</strong> (this is the core language for the role)</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Strong hands-on experience with <strong>AWS</strong>, including services such as:</p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Lambda, EC2, S3, DynamoDB</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>EventBridge, Step Functions</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>IAM, Organizations, CloudWatch</p>
</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>
<p><strong>Strong Terraform experience</strong> managing complex, production AWS infrastructure</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Experience building and consuming <strong>HTTP REST APIs</strong></p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Strong Linux/UNIX experience</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Experience with containers and Docker</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Familiarity with distributed systems, cloud networking, and security best practices</p>
</li>
</ul>
