About the role: We are currently recruiting for enthusiastic and reliable General Support Staff to join a welcoming educational setting in Winsford on a full-time, long-term basis starting in September. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to build a career in education and make a positive impact on the lives of young people. No previous school-based experience is required; however, experience in a related field such as childcare, care work, youth work, coaching, support work, or community-based roles would be highly beneficial. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching and support staff to provide classroom support, assist with student engagement, and help create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment where pupils can thrive. Key Responsibilities: Support students throughout the school day, both in and out of the classroom. Assist teaching staff with learning activities and classroom preparation. Encourage positive behaviour and support students’ social and emotional development. Build positive relationships with pupils to promote engagement and confidence. Provide general support across the school as required, helping to ensure a safe and productive learning environment. Pre-requisites: Experience in a related field such as care, childcare, coaching, youth work, support work, or customer-facing roles is desirable. A positive, proactive, and adaptable approach. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
