What You'll Do

• Prepare operating rooms for procedures
• Sterilize and manage surgical equipment

Program Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Requires completion of collegiate level medical terminology and anatomy/biology courses
• All applicants must formally participate in Henry Ford Health’s application and interview process
• Sterile processing experience preferred (not required)

Associate in Applied Science - Surgical Technology

Our program offers a hybrid learning model, combining formal instruction with clinical experience. You'll earn an Associate in Applied Science degree while gaining practical skills in our state-of-the-art facilities. Want to go further? Use this degree as a stepping stone to pursue a bachelor's degree.

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

When you complete the program, you'll be eligible to apply for certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA). This certification is your ticket to professional recognition and career advancement.
