Finance Manager (part time)

Finance Manager Salary: £40,000 per annum pro rata Location: Near Tiverton Contract: Part-time, Permanent We are seeking an experienced and proactive Finance Manager to take full ownership of the finance function within this organisation. This is a role suited to a QBE Accountant and ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, responsibility, and being a trusted business partner to senior leadership. The role is available on 4 days a week, permanent with some hybrid working. The role is not remote. The Role Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all financial activities, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and insightful analysis to support decision-making. Key Responsibilities * Full responsibility for the finance function, including month-end and year-end processes * Preparation of management accounts, budgets, and forecasts * Cashflow management and financial planning * VAT returns and statutory compliance * Managing relationships with external accountants, auditors, and HMRC * Developing and maintaining financial controls and processes * Providing financial insight and support to senior management About you * Proven experience in a similar Finance Manager or Senior Accountant role * Comfortable working independently in a stand-alone position * Strong technical accounting knowledge * Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills * Confident communicator with the ability to explain financial information clearly * Part qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or qualified by experience What is on offer: * Salary of £40,000 per annum pro rata to 4 days per week * A high-impact role with real ownership and influence * Supportive leadership and a collaborative working environment * Flexibility on hours and hybrid working available.
