About the Role

Warehouse Supervisor Location: Aston Clinton, HP22 5WJ Reporting to: Warehouse Team Manager Salary: £29,000 About the Role We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to oversee shift operations and ensure efficiency, accuracy, and excellent customer service across all warehouse activities. This is a key leadership role where you will lead, motivate, and support a team of operatives, acting as the first point of contact for operational issues. You’ll play an important role in maintaining a safe, productive environment while driving continuous improvement and supporting business growth. Key Responsibilities Operations & Performance <ul><li> Oversee daily warehouse operations to maximise efficiency using the WMS</li></ul> <ul><li> Monitor productivity and ensure alignment with operational targets</li></ul> <ul><li> Plan workflows, staffing levels, space utilisation, and equipment layout</li></ul> <ul><li> Pick, pack, and dispatch orders accurately in line with quality standards</li></ul> <ul><li> Coordinate safe loading and unloading of vehicles</li></ul> <ul><li> Maintain stock accuracy through effective receiving and picking processes</li></ul> <ul><li> Support cycle counts, stock takes, stock transfers, and consolidation</li></ul> <ul><li> Provide clear and accurate end-of-shift handovers</li></ul> <ul><li> </li></ul> Leadership & Team Development <ul><li> Lead, coach, and motivate team members to achieve performance targets</li></ul> <ul><li> Train staff to resolve day-to-day operational challenges</li></ul> <ul><li> Induct new and temporary employees effectively</li></ul> <ul><li> Deliver KPI-based feedback and performance reviews</li></ul> <ul><li> Support investigations and disciplinary processes (including note-taking)</li></ul> <ul><li> Manage staffing levels, absence, and leave requests in line with policy</li></ul> <ul><li> </li></ul> Continuous Improvement & Systems <ul><li> Act as a super user of the WMS to drive operational efficiency</li></ul> <ul><li> Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements</li></ul> <ul><li> Collaborate with Team Managers to analyse performance and enhance productivity</li></ul> <ul><li> </li></ul> Health, Safety & Compliance <ul><li> Promote and enforce health and safety standards and legal compliance</li></ul> <ul><li> Conduct pre-shift checks and “walk and talk” handovers</li></ul> <ul><li> Ensure MHE checks are completed before use</li></ul> <ul><li> Monitor equipment usage and ensure MHE is charged and maintained</li></ul> <ul><li> Secure the warehouse at the end of each shift</li></ul> <ul><li> </li></ul> Communication & Collaboration <ul><li> Liaise with account managers and admin teams to resolve issues efficiently</li></ul> <ul><li> Work collaboratively with other supervisors and managers</li></ul> <ul><li> Maintain high housekeeping standards across the warehouse</li></ul> <ul><li> </li></ul> Additional Duties <ul><li> Carry out any other reasonable duties as required</li></ul> <ul><li> </li></ul> Skills, Knowledge & Experience Essential <ul><li> Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or team leadership role</li></ul> <ul><li> Strong understanding of warehouse operations and procedures</li></ul> <ul><li> Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills</li></ul> <ul><li> Confident managing performance and delivering direct feedback</li></ul> <ul><li> Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities</li></ul> <ul><li> Continuous improvement mindset</li></ul> <ul><li> Good knowledge of warehouse health and safety regulations</li></ul> <ul><li> Proficient in Microsoft Office and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)</li></ul> <ul><li> </li></ul> Qualifications <ul><li> Valid MHE licences (Aisle Master, Counterbalance, PPT)</li></ul> <ul><li> Experience managing MHE fleet and users (preferred)</li></ul>
