<strong>Job title: Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer</strong><br><strong>Salary:</strong> Up to £45,000 + £3,556 shift allowance<br><strong>Overall package:</strong> Circa £50,000 per annum, including regular overtime<br><strong>Shift:</strong> Double days, Monday to Friday<br><strong>Benefits:</strong> 25 days’ holiday + bank holidays, bonus, pension and life assurance<br><br>We are recruiting an experienced Senior Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer to support a highly automated manufacturing operation. This is a hands-on role combining electrical fault-finding and preventative maintenance with responsibility for supporting and guiding the wider maintenance team.<br><br>The position would suit an electrically biased engineer with strong CNC, PLC, robotics and automation experience who enjoys solving complex technical problems and improving equipment reliability.<br><br><strong>The role</strong><br>You will help ensure production equipment operates safely and efficiently, minimising downtime and maintaining continuity across the manufacturing facility. Your responsibilities will include:<br><ul><li>Providing hands-on breakdown support across manufacturing and facilities</li><ul><li>Diagnosing electrical, mechanical, PLC, HMI and robotic faults</li><li>Maintaining and improving automated production lines</li><li>Completing planned and preventative maintenance activities</li><li>Supporting maintenance engineers and allocating departmental resources effectively</li><li>Working closely with TPM, technical support, quality and manufacturing engineers</li><li>Supporting the introduction and commissioning of new machinery</li><li>Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities</li><li>Ensuring maintenance records and job sheets are completed accurately</li><li>Monitoring consumable stock levels and supporting associated departments</li><li>Promoting safe working practices, including correct PPE use</li><li>Maintaining high 5C and TPM standards</li></ul></ul><br><strong>What we are looking for</strong><br><ul><li>Electrical or electronic qualification at HNC level or above</li><ul><li>Strong electrical bias with complementary mechanical maintenance skills</li><li>Extensive experience within a manufacturing or production environment</li><li>CNC machinery maintenance experience</li><li>PLC fault-finding or formal PLC training</li><li>Experience with servo motors and drives</li><li>FANUC robot experience</li><li>Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings</li><li>Experience supporting automated production equipment</li><li>Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capabilities</li><li>Confident communication skills at all levels</li><li>Ability to work independently and support a wider engineering team</li><li>Good understanding of health and safety requirements</li><li>Availability for double-day shifts, with occasional weekend and shutdown support</li></ul></ul><br><strong>Package and benefits</strong><br><ul><li>Basic salary of £40,000–£45,000</li><ul><li>£3,556.44 annual shift allowance</li><li>Regular overtime opportunities</li><li>Holiday premium payments</li><li>Overall earning potential of approximately £50,000 per annum</li><li>Potential quarterly profit-related bonus worth up to £1,100 annually</li><li>25 days’ holiday plus eight bank holidays</li><li>Company pension through auto-enrolment</li><li>Two-times salary life assurance</li><li>Employee Assistance Programme</li><li>Employee discount scheme</li></ul></ul><br><strong>Working hours</strong><br>The role operates on a rotating double-day shift:<br><ul><li><strong>Week 1:</strong> 6:00am–2:00pm, Monday to Thursday; 6:00am–11:00am Friday</li><ul><li><strong>Week 2:</strong> 2:00pm–10:00pm, Monday to Thursday; 11:00am–4:00pm Friday</li></ul></ul><br>If you are an experienced electrically biased Maintenance Engineer seeking greater responsibility, technically challenging equipment, and strong earning potential, apply today for further information.
