Job Specification — Boat Builder (Contract), Isle of Wight – Cowes Location: Cowes, Isle of Wight Contract Type: Contract Hours: 40 hours per week Pay Rate: £23–£25 per hour Accommodation Support: £100 weekly contribution (subject to completing 40 hours per week) Overview We are seeking an experienced Boat Builder to join a leading marine manufacturer on a contract basis in Cowes. This role is ideal for someone with strong craftsmanship skills and a background in building high‑quality marine vessels. Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out all aspects of boat building including fitting, joinery, and structural work Work from technical drawings and specifications Ensure work is completed to high-quality standards and within project timelines Collaborate with production teams to ensure smooth workflow Maintain a safe and organised work environment RequirementsProven experience as a Boat Builder or Marine Technician Strong skills in one or more areas: GRP/composites, fitting, joinery, or structural assembly Ability to read and interpret technical drawings High attention to detail and craftsmanship Reliability and ability to meet weekly hour targets Own tools preferred but not essential BenefitsCompetitive hourly rate (£23–£25 p/h) £100 weekly accommodation support once 40 hours are achieved Opportunity to work with a respected marine brand on exciting build projects Marine Resources Recruitment Ltd acts as an employment agency for permanent and fixed term contract recruitment and as a recruitment business for the supply of contract workers.
