<p><strong>Billing Analyst </strong></p> <p>Purpose of the Billing Analyst</p> <p>Billing Analyst provides strategic oversight, quality control, and client-facing leadership for revenue cycle operations. While offshore billing teams execute day-to-day transactional billing tasks, the onshore analyst is responsible for accuracy, compliance, client satisfaction, escalation management, and overall financial performance of assigned accounts.</p> <p>This role serves as the bridge between clients, payers, and offshore billing teams.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities – Higher-Level Functions</strong></p> <p><em>Oversight &amp; Quality Assurance of Offshore Billing Work</em></p> <ul> <li>Review offshore billing output for accuracy, compliance, and completeness prior to client or payer impact</li> <li>Use Excel to analyze billing data using pivot tables and vlookups (required)</li> <li>Perform regular quality audits of: <ul> <li>Claims submissions</li> <li>Payment posting</li> <li>Denial resolution</li> <li>Appeals and rebilling</li> </ul> </li> <li>Identify trends in offshore errors and provide corrective feedback and process improvements</li> <li>Approve or return complex claims, denials, and appeals for rework</li> </ul> <p><em>Client-Facing Communication &amp; Relationship Management</em></p> <ul> <li>Serve as the secondary billing point of contact for assigned clients</li> <li>Attend client billing calls, and ad-hoc issue resolution meetings</li> <li>Translate billing data into clear, client-friendly explanations</li> <li>Address client concerns regarding denials and aging A/R</li> </ul> <p><em>Denial Strategy &amp; Revenue Optimization</em></p> <ul> <li>Analyze denial trends and root causes across offshore teams</li> <li>Provide guidance on appeal prioritization</li> <li>Submission and review of claims for complex clients</li> </ul> <p>Training, Guidance &amp; Process Improvement</p> <ul> <li>Train offshore teams on client-specific rules, payer nuances, updated workflows and policies</li> <li>Support onboarding of new offshore staff</li> </ul> <p><strong>Onshore billing analysts provide:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Client trust and confidence</li> <li>Financial and compliance accountability</li> <li>Strategic oversight and decision-making</li> <li>Clear communication and escalation ownership</li> </ul> <p>This role ensures that offshore efficiency is paired with onshore leadership, quality, and client satisfaction.</p>
