We are recruiting for an established and successful product-based business in the Chessington area that is looking for an experienced Administrator to join its busy commercial team.
This is a varied role combining sales administration, order processing and customer service, with responsibility for supporting customer accounts from the point an order is received through to successful delivery.
You will work closely with customers, internal departments, warehouse teams and delivery partners, ensuring orders are processed accurately, information is kept up to date and any queries are resolved quickly and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and manage customer orders using online customer portals and internal systems.
- Monitor orders from receipt through to dispatch and delivery.
- Keep customer systems updated with accurate order and delivery information.
- Prepare and upload regular stock availability reports.
- Respond to customer queries relating to orders, stock, deliveries and account administration.
- Investigate and resolve delivery discrepancies, shortages and damaged or faulty goods.
- Process credits where required.
- Liaise with warehouse and carrier partners to help ensure orders are delivered accurately and on time.
- Work closely with Sales, Accounts and Credit Control to resolve account or payment issues that could affect order processing.
- Build a good understanding of the company’s product range to provide effective customer support.
- Provide additional administrative support to the wider sales team and assist with holiday and sickness cover.
- Handle general day-to-day administration and customer account queries.
About You
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, accurate and comfortable managing a busy workload. You will enjoy working as part of a small, supportive team and be confident communicating with both customers and colleagues.
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous experience within sales administration, order processing, customer service or operations.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Experience processing and managing customer orders.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Confident written and verbal communication skills.
- Good IT skills, including Excel and Word.
- The ability to prioritise and organise your workload effectively.
- A proactive, helpful and solutions-focused approach.
- Good numerical skills.
- The ability to build positive working relationships with customers and colleagues.
