About the role:
Justteachers are seeking a dedicated and experienced Primary School Teacher to support a welcoming and inclusive primary school within their onsite provision from September 2026. This is a full-time opportunity for a teacher with a passion for supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and a commitment to helping children achieve their full potential.
The role is initially offered on a temporary basis through Justteachers, with the opportunity to become a permanent member of staff following a successful placement.
This role would suit an individual who is patient, resilient, nurturing, and experienced in adapting learning to meet the individual needs of pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with SEND needs.
- Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and wider school staff to meet individual pupil targets.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies where necessary.
- Support pupils’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Foster positive relationships with pupils, families, and external agencies.
- Contribute to EHCP reviews and interventions where appropriate.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working within a resource provision, nurture provision, alternative provision, or specialist SEND setting.
- Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, or other additional learning needs.
- Experience working alongside multi-agency teams and external professionals.
Pre-requisites:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have previous experience teaching within a primary school setting.
- Have experience supporting pupils with SEND, including a range of complex learning, communication, and behavioural needs.
- Demonstrate strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
- Be available to work full-time from September 2026.
- Be committed to making a positive impact on the lives of young people.
- Have or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service.
